About the Teacher

I am Ms. Fletcher.  I am a mother of a beautiful daughter, age 18.  This is my 20th year teaching in Prince George's County Public Schools.  This is my 12th year at Robert R. Gray.  I have been wanting to be a teacher since I was 10 years old.  I have several hobbies.  Some include:  Scrapbooking, reading, candle making, greeting card making, dancing, watching movies, and dining out.  I love to learn new trades and hobbies.

I am a product of Prince George's County Public Schools from Kindergarten through high school.  I attended Thomas Stone Elementary, Magnolia Elementary, Robert Goddard Middle, and Eleanor Roosevelt High School.  I remained in the county to attend Bowie State University.  In 1997, I received my undergraduate degree of a Bachelor's in Science majoring in Elementary Education.  I later earned my Masters Degree in Education, Supervision and Administration in 2007, also from Bowie State University.  I am also a licensed nail technician, a Professional Bridal Consultant, and a Certified Notary Public.

I will continue working with the Marching Band here at Gray as the Pom Pom Coach where I have served for about 8 years.  I enjoy working with children, and not just in an educational setting.  Currently, I am a National Board Certified Teacher Candidate.

I volunteer some of my time raising money to find a cure for Lupus and Breast Cancer.  I hope you will join me.
My future goals include becoming a certified Sign Language Interpreter and an assistant principal.
